Buying a Fire Blanket for the Office: Fire Protection Is Important!

A fire blanket is an important and effective fire protection measure that is far too often not kept in stock in everyday office life. You should definitely buy a fire blanket for the office, because in the event of an emergency, you will quickly realize how incredibly effective such a tool is.

A fire blanket is a large cloth made of a fireproof and sturdy material. It is usually made of fiberglass fabric, Kevlar, or nylon. Such blankets are standardized according to DIN EN 1869:2001 and MPA-tested; naturally, they must be disposed of after use against fire and cannot be reused.

The size varies depending on the intended use and the respective manufacturer. For example, larger blankets are required for a burning car. A specific technique is needed when using such blankets so that the fire can be effectively extinguished.
