It is heat-resistant up to about 300 \u00b0C. If it gets even hotter, the surface chars, but it does not catch fire. Choose a mat that extends a few centimetres beyond the appliance on all sides. Wash off dirt in the machine at 60 \u00b0C. For wet areas and outdoors, the <a href=\"https:\/\/firemat.de\/en\/produkt\/firemat-gold-edition-fireproof-mat-outdoor-indoor-water-and-oil-impermeable-non-slip\/\">Gold Edition<\/a> is the better choice, as it is coated on both sides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What to look out for<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lay the mat flat and without creases.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Always place hot appliances in the middle of it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check the mat for damage from time to time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Replace a heavily charred mat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hot fat often splashes during fondue. On the mat, the table still stays clean.
