This is particularly true because such devices (due to their built-in heating elements) pose a fire hazard. In the event of a technical defect, such devices can catch fire and should therefore always be placed on a fire-resistant surface. Such a base is an effective and inexpensive means of fire protection in the office.   <\/p>&#13;\n&#13;\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The necessity of using such fire-resistant bases arises from the applicable <a href=\"https:\/\/firemat.de\/en\/office-workplace-regulations-dont-forget-fire-protection\/\">fire protection regulations<\/a>.<\/p>&#13;\n&#13;\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fire Protection for Toasters: Practical Solutions<\/h2>&#13;\n&#13;\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Generally, you should acquire a fire-resistant base for all electrical appliances in the office kitchen. This base should be appropriately sized for the respective appliance and T\u00dcV-certified for use. Furthermore, the base itself should not pose an accident risk (for example, tiles or stone slabs can fall and injure people).  <\/p>&#13;\n&#13;\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A recommended option, for example, is the FireMat.
