It bears the symbol F002 according to DIN EN ISO 7010. The sign is made of 1 mm thick PVC and is self-adhesive. It also has a long afterglow according to DIN 67510-1.

Product details

Symbol: fire hose reel (F002)

Standard: DIN EN ISO 7010

Material: PVC, 1 mm thick

Photoluminescent according to DIN 67510-1

Self-adhesive back

Sizes: 150 × 150 mm or 200 × 200 mm

Where does the fire hose reel sign go?

Place the fire hose reel sign directly above the hose cabinet or wall hydrant. This helps the fire brigade find the connection quickly. Employees also see at once where they can get water in an emergency. Typical locations are stairwells, corridors and halls.

Is the marking mandatory?

In German workplaces, yes. The technical rule ASR A1.3 sets out how safety signs look and where they go. In addition, ASR A2.2 requires fire-fighting equipment to be clearly marked. That is why every location needs the right fire safety sign. Our article Safety signs and their meaning explains what the signs mean.

Which size is right?

The size depends on the distance from which the sign should be recognised. According to ASR A1.3, a 150 × 150 mm sign can be seen from up to 15 m. With 200 × 200 mm it is up to 20 m. The smaller size is therefore usually enough for offices and corridors. In halls, choose the larger one.

Why photoluminescent?

The film stores light from its surroundings. If the power fails, the sign continues to glow greenish for a while. This keeps it easy to see even in the dark. The film complies with DIN 67510-1, the standard for photoluminescent safety signs.

Installation

The back is self-adhesive. Clean the surface thoroughly beforehand. It should be smooth, dry and free of dust and grease. Then peel off the protective film and press the sign firmly into place. On rough walls, however, it holds better with screws or mounting tape.

Matching signs

You can find more signs in our categories fire safety signs and flag and angle signs.
