The Ideal Fire Protection Mat for Fireplace Sparks
In addition to its primary use as a fire protection mat for electrical appliances, FireMat is also an excellent protective mat against fireplace sparks. It helps protect not only floors but also walls and fireplace surrounds from dangerous flying sparks.
Many fireplace owners have experienced this: you simply want to quickly add some wood to the fireplace, but sparks can fly out, quickly dirtying the surrounding area and, in the worst case, even causing damage. To prevent flying sparks and the associated fire damage, you can simply place a FireMat around the fireplace – ideally covering an area at least 50 cm wide – to help protect the floor from damage.
This is particularly important when the room has parquet flooring, laminate or even carpets. Such surfaces can be highly flammable and should therefore be given additional protection. You can rely on our FireMat: it catches flying sparks and helps prevent them from reaching the floor.
