Warning signs & safety signs

Warning signs and safety signs are an integral part of occupational safety. They indicate hazards, escape routes and important equipment. In an emergency, they therefore guide people quickly to safety. All signs also follow the standard DIN EN ISO 7010. This means they are understood everywhere, even without words.

On this page you will also find an overview of all types of signs, our guides and a direct route to the shop.

The five types of safety signs

  • Fire protection signs (red): They show, for example, fire extinguishers, fire alarms and fire hoses. To the fire protection signs
  • Escape signs (green): They show emergency exits, escape routes and first aid. To the escape signs
  • Prohibition signs (red border): They prohibit something, for example smoking. To the prohibition signs
  • Warning signs (yellow): They warn of a hazard, for example electricity.
  • Mandatory signs (blue): They prescribe a behaviour, for example wearing safety goggles.

The guide Safety signs: meaning of colours and shapes explains exactly what colours and shapes mean.

Flag and angle signs

In long corridors, flat signs are hard to see. Flag and angle signs protrude from the wall and are easy to see in the direction of travel. In Germany, ASR A2.2 requires exactly this visibility for fire extinguishers in corridors.

Visible during a power cut

Where escape routes must remain visible during a power cut, long-afterglow signs according to DIN 67510-1 class C are the simple solution. They store light and then glow in the dark, with no electricity and no maintenance.

Our guides to signs

Signs for companies, schools and authorities

Employers must mark hazards, escape routes and fire protection equipment. In Germany, this is regulated by ASR A1.3 and ASR A2.2. Our signs are made of robust PVC and comply with DIN EN ISO 7010. That is why many customers equip the entire building with signs at once.

To match, you will also find smoke detectors, first aid accessories and fireproof mats for electrical appliances.
