Brandschutzverordnung – Inhalt und Aufbau
A fire safety regulation is an important document for fire protection. On one hand, it outlines how fires can be prevented within a company; on the other, it explains to personnel how to behave in the event of a fire. Therefore, it is recommended that every company establish a fire safety code. Such a fire safety code should be kept up to date and regularly reviewed by a qualified professional.
Such a fire safety code is not only a vital foundation for implementing fire protection; it also demonstrates that you are truly serious about fire safety.
Structure of Fire Safety Regulations according to DIN 14096
The fire safety regulation consists of three parts:
Part A is intended for all persons in the building (residents, employees, visitors).
Part B is intended for persons who are in the building on a more than temporary basis (residents, employees).
Part C applies to persons who have been assigned specific fire safety tasks (fire safety officers, safety officers, or engineers).
Content of Part A:
Part A usually consists of only a single A4 page posted within the building.

The fire safety regulation is generally distributed to employees or residents as a small brochure. Fire Safety Regulation B always includes Fire Safety Regulation A.
