FireMat Videos
How well does a FireMat really protect? You can see for yourself in our FireMat videos. We show fire tests, use on the induction hob and a look into production. This way you can form your own opinion before buying.
Extreme test: the FireMat Black Edition in fire
In this video, an open flame hits the FireMat Black Edition directly. You can see that the fabric does not continue to burn. The material is also certified by TÜV SÜD according to DIN EN ISO 11925-2.
Test with glowing shisha charcoal
Glowing charcoal gets very hot and falls off easily. That is why we test here how the FireMat reacts to it. You can read more in the article Shisha mat.
FireMat videos on cooking with induction
On the induction hob, the FireMat protects against scratches and splashes. For cooking, we recommend the Black Edition and the Silk Edition. With the Silk Edition, the glossy side is the non-slip side. On top it holds the pot, underneath it holds the mat on the hob. This makes it easier to slide the pot back and forth. The mat is not suitable for ordinary ceramic hobs.

Spark protection in front of the fireplace
In front of the wood-burning stove, the FireMat Gold Edition catches sparks and ash. If embers or soot fall on the mat, simply wipe it with a damp cloth. When you do not need it, roll it up and put it away.
How a FireMat is made
Finally, we take you into production, because FireMat is made in Germany. In the video you can see how the aramid fabric becomes a finished mat.
