The ECO escape sign luminaire is the affordable entry-level model. It shows the escape route even during a power failure. Its housing is made of polycarbonate with a Plexiglas panel. The built-in battery also keeps the emergency light on for three hours.

What is a self-contained emergency luminaire?

A self-contained luminaire has its own built-in battery. In normal operation, it runs on mains power and charges the battery. If the power fails, it switches to battery at once. It therefore does not need a central battery system. This makes planning simple, especially in smaller buildings.

Where does the ECO escape sign luminaire fit?

The ECO escape sign luminaire is suitable for dry indoor areas such as offices, practices and corridors. That is what protection rating IP 20 stands for. You can mount it on the wall or the ceiling. With a viewing distance of 26 m, it is also clearly visible in longer corridors.

Testing and maintenance

The luminaire has a manual test button. You use it to check the battery and LED yourself. According to DIN EN 50172, emergency luminaires are tested regularly: briefly every month and once a year for the full emergency lighting duration. Also record the results in a logbook.

Installation

The luminaire is permanently connected to 230 V. It should therefore be installed by a qualified electrician. It fits on walls and ceilings. Then insert the appropriate pictogram, for example “emergency exit” or an arrow.
