Assembly point sign (E007) – photoluminescent
After an evacuation, everyone must gather at a fixed place. This is the only way to check whether anyone is missing. The assembly point sign shows exactly this place. It bears the symbol E007 according to DIN EN ISO 7010. The sign is made of 1 mm thick PVC, is self-adhesive and has a long afterglow.

Where does the “assembly point” sign go?
The assembly point is outdoors, at a safe distance from the building. The sign is placed there where it is clearly visible, for example on a wall, a fence or a post. It is important that all employees know the location. That is why the assembly point also belongs in the escape and rescue plan.
Is the marking mandatory?
In German workplaces, yes. The technical rule ASR A1.3 sets out how safety signs look and where they go. In addition, ASR A2.3 requires escape routes and emergency exits to be clearly marked. That is why offices, schools, day-care centres and public authorities need the right escape route signs. Read more in our guide Escape route signs.
Which size is right?
The size depends on the distance from which the sign should be recognised. According to ASR A1.3, a 150 × 150 mm sign can be seen from up to 15 m. With 200 × 200 mm it is up to 20 m. Outdoors, the larger version is the better choice, as the sign is often seen from a greater distance there.
Why photoluminescent?
The film stores light from its surroundings. If the power fails, the sign continues to glow greenish for a while. This keeps it easy to see even in the dark. The film complies with DIN 67510-1, the standard for photoluminescent safety signs.
Installation
The back is self-adhesive. Clean the surface thoroughly beforehand. It should be smooth, dry and free of dust and grease. Then peel off the protective film and press the sign firmly into place. On rough walls, however, it holds better with screws or mounting tape.
